MAP
Ryn’s reply to Jane LeCroy’s small map poem
it said on
the map one way was
86 miles versus 222 so we took the
shorter one so we could
get there much faster but it
didn’t say on the map we’d be in
mountains – and it
didn’t say on the map
the roads would wind – and it
didn’t say on the map I’d throw a
big hissy fit at the
rockslide delay while my
God had slowed me down so I could
meditate.

_____
(Jane LeCroy's small map poem)
It’s not a small world
There are just small maps
When we come here we each get a map
Those of us with the same maps
Are bound to cross paths
